Is a delicate yet dynamic tapestry of gases, particles, and energy that sustains life and shapes our climate. Stretching from the Earth's surface to the edge of space, the atmosphere plays a vital role in regulating temperature, distributing moisture, and protecting life from harmful radiation.

Composed primarily of nitrogen and oxygen, with trace amounts of other gases such as carbon dioxide, methane, and water vapor, the atmosphere forms a protective blanket around the Earth. This atmospheric shield absorbs and scatters incoming solar radiation, moderating temperatures and creating the conditions necessary for life to thrive.

Atmospheric layers, including the troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, thermosphere, and exosphere, each have distinct characteristics and functions. The troposphere, closest to the Earth's surface, is where weather occurs, with temperature decreasing with altitude. Above it lies the stratosphere, where the ozone layer resides, absorbing harmful ultraviolet radiation from the Sun. The mesosphere and thermosphere extend upward, gradually thinning until they merge with the vacuum of space in the exosphere.
